Essential CMA Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Documents all patient-related communications and interventions in patient electronic health records.
2. Collects data and processes messages from patients and front office to physicians.
3. Takes telephone and e-mail messages as well as medication refill requests from patients and provides feedback and answers to patients, physicians, and pharmacy per physician protocol.
4. Escorts patients to exam rooms, interviews patient, measures vital signs (including weight, blood pressure, pulse and temperature), and documents in patient charts.
5. Assists the physician and other clinical staff with procedures and treatments.
6. May assist the physician with medical scribing.
7. Maintains all logs and required checks for refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, equipment sterilization, etc.
8. Prepares, restocks, and disinfects examination rooms, procedure rooms, lab area, and all other patient care areas at scheduled intervals, and as needed.
9. Adheres to infection control policies and protocols, Standing Delegated Orders and storage procedures for medication administration, and controlled substance regulations.
10. Maintains confidentiality at all times according to policy and procedures and HIPAA requirements
Job Type: Contract

Experience:
- CMA: 2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
