SUMMARY
The Accounts Payable associate is responsible for the coding, vouchering and payment of supplier/service invoices.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Match and code vendor invoices to receivers/purchase orders.
- Code vouchers for goods, services, and any other non-receivable items.
- Responsible for approvals and/or follow up of price and quantity discrepancies.
- Generate reports for approval prior to check run.
- Generate accounts payable checks, get appropriate signatures, attach remittance advice if applicable.
- Audit open receivers and items inspection report.
- Maintain vendor files.
- Answers incoming telephone calls, screens calls; assists directly with routine inquiries.
- Open and distribute incoming mail and faxes.
- Mail purchase orders, invoices and outgoing checks.
- Clerical duties as needed.
- Complete Month-end assignments and reporting in a timely, accurate, and effective manner
- Other duties will be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Five year’s experience in accounts payable.
- Five year’s experience with computer based applications, Microsoft Office, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- Working knowledge of unit of measure and conversions.
- One year experience with multi-line phone system.
