Architectural Designer III

AECOM is seeking an Architectural Designer III to be based in Southfield, MI

Job Summary/Responsibilities

• Work closely with a Design Lead / Project Manager independently preparing and presenting client focused design solutions to project team members
• Prepare contract drawings during all design phases
• Coordinate and collaborate in activities with employees in other disciplines and departments, internally and externally
• Prepare designs, renderings, sketches, diagrams, schematic and working drawings to illustrate design solutions
• Develop and document details to communicate design intent
• Assist the Project Architect in editing specifications
• Assist Design Lead in preparing client presentation material
• Attend client meetings and assist with documenting client decisions
• Develop, adapt, or modify design features and details under the direction of a Project Manager, Project Designer, or Project Architect

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture plus two (2) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong visual communication skills including hand sketching
• Proficiency with Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Sketch Up
• Experience with Rhino and Grasshopper
• Experience working on all phases of architectural projects
• Actively pursuing licensure
