Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly motivated Civil Specialist III for immediate employment for our South Carolina Water business.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing engineering activities to support planning, designing, and construction of water and wastewater plants and conveyance systems.

  • Performing engineering activities to also support storm water management planning, designing, and construction.

  • Provides permitting and grant management support.

  • Supports project managers as necessary during interdisciplinary reviews and project deliverables, cost estimates, budgeting, and scheduling.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Engineering and/or Sciences

  • 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Experience with CAD, Autodesk Civil3D.

  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License and as a condition of employment, must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.

  • Strong written and oral communication, quantitative and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills.

  • Exhibits initiative, responsibility, and flexibility.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Strong desire to learn along with professional drive.

  • Proficient with GIS, CAD, and design software (ArcGIS, Autodesk Civil3D, Bentley Design Suites, Revit, etc.)

  • Ability and desire to occasionally travel to project sites, both local and remote.

  • Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position typically is $75,000.00 - $100,000.00
