Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking an Entry-Level Office/Documentation Engineer to be based in New York, NY.
The qualified applicant should have exceptional organizational skills to be able to support project documentation working directly with project teams including Project Managers and Resident Engineers.
This position is expected to begin as soon as possible.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Under direct supervision, follow standard procedures, processes, and techniques to accomplish assigned tasks.
May prepare and maintain project filing system.
Perform data entry into an electronic document management system.
Managing Submittals and Requests for Information and reports.
Responsible for the accurate processing of submittals to confirm correct products and materials are installed per contract specifications throughout the project.
Prepare transmittals and draft correspondence.
Assist with the preparation and assembly of project records for close-out.
Review all Inspector Daily Reports for accurate reporting.
Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports to include schedules, costs spreadsheets, RFI logs, change order logs, etc.
Maintain Accurate Project Records.
Organize project records/documents to allow ease of access for the project team.
Assist the Project Manager / Resident Engineer with the preparation of meeting agendas and prepare minutes of all meetings.
Assist with the monitoring of project budgets and expenditures and communicate any issues to the project team in a timely manner.
Check all quantity calculations of completed work.
Verify all material certifications are on file and all material testing has been performed and passed before recommending payment to the contractor for completed work.
Assist with reviewing construction schedules for projects.
Performs a variety of tasks in support of the project team.
General understanding of procedures, company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint and/or project management platforms.

Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (New York locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000.
