What are the responsibilities and job description for the Geologist (FT) position at AECOM?
Qualifications:
- The successful candidate will have at a minimum a BS in Geology or Engineering with a successful work history of environmental investigation and remediation projects. Federal/Department of Defense experience is desired.
- A minimum of 4 years experience with environmental investigations through site clean-up and closure.
- Candidate must also be able to work as part of a project team comprised of AECOM staff and subcontractors.
- Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse and interesting projects, a positive attitude, willingness to mentor junior staff, and commitment to workplace health and safety are imperative.
- Field work will be required, including travel and oversight of subcontractors
- BA/BS degree in Geology or Engineering plus 4 years of experience within the consulting industry, technical leadership in conducting remedial investigations and design.
- site assessment and characterization, remediation, risk assessment, environmental chemistry, etc. or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must successfully pass pre-hire activities.
- Ability to travel.
