Job Overview:
The Entry-Level Geologist will support our Remediation team within our Environment business line. We are seeking a motivated candidate who would like to develop and advance in a full-time environmental remediation career in the Franklin, TN office.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Utilizes scientific principles, theories, practices and existing technologies to develop technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
Requires general familiarity within a broad field of scientific knowledge of reciprocal effects of the work upon other disciplines/fields.
Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
Works under only general direction.
Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
Solves problems by use of combinations of standard procedures, modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments
Participates in planning required to achieve prescribed objectives.
Conducts analysis and investigation work obtained from a variety of sources.
Performs inspections and tests to ensure compliance.
Participates in developing corrective measures and procedures.
Formulates hypothesis, performs research and makes recommendation.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Geological Sciences, Hydrogeology, or related field.
Valid U.S. Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
Current OSHA 40-hr Hazardous Waste certification preferred.
1 plus years of related field experience preferred.
Travel up to 70% to and from work sites required.
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
Ability to safely drive a full-size pickup truck to and from worksite.

Travel is required for this position, including overnight travel.
Candidates may be asked to submit to a Motor Vehicle Record screening, drug test, and/or medical surveillance screening upon hire.
