Job Description
The Buildings Places Global Business Line is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Global Head of Stations and TOD , to lead growth in the stations, associated facilities buildings and transit-orientated development (TOD) sector globally. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing key client relationships in collaboration with AECOM’s specialist Global Transit group, leading & winning major pursuits and acting as the AECOM principal on major stations, associated facilities buildings, and TOD projects. The Global Head of Stations and TOD will be instrumental in the successful development, implementation, and delivery of our major transit station and associated facilities program globally.
Based in the United States, the Global Head of Stations and TOD will report to the Global Head of Strategy and Growth – Buildings Places and be a member of the Buildings Places Global Executive Team. This senior leader will work collaboratively to support Transit clients and growth.
This position is expected to begin in Fall 2023.
Major Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Planning, organizing, and implementing all strategic business development activities for the Buildings Places Global Station, associated facilities buildings and TOD practice. Contributing to the development of the overall Global and Americas strategic growth plan.
Working closely and collaboratively with all business lines to conduct business development to secure new commissions for AECOM. This includes proactive client account management, identifying and tracking pursuits, pre-positioning with potential clients, leading go/no go decisions for key pursuits, participating in and/or leading proposals and giving presentations to potential clients.
Working closely and collaboratively with AECOM’s Building Places Regional Business Line Leaders to attract and retain the right people both in terms of capability and capacity in our chosen cities to support client relationship building, flawless service delivery and better client outcomes.
Working closely and collaboratively with AECOM’s Global and America's Transit Leaders and specialist Transit group to develop a differentiated “one AECOM” transit offer for our key new and existing clients.
Working closely and collaboratively with AECOM ‘s cross-business line Transit strategic marketing and communications team to continue to maintain and raise AECOM’s profile and brand, leveraging our ENR Nr 1 Transit-Rail position.
Representing AECOM in regional, national, and global professional associations and conferences.
Providing thought leadership ideas internally and externally.
Participating in the Buildings Places Global Executive Team.
Identifying and sharing best practices globally.
Leading and coordinating B P Stations, associated facilities buildings and TOD Architecture & Engineering resources globally.
Establishing and sustaining relationships with key partners and consultants to support growth of the Stations & TOD practice.
Act as Project Lead / Principal on specific strategic / key projects and programs.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, or related discipline plus 15 years of experience in station and TOD projects;
At least 10 years of demonstrated leadership experience in the transportation sector in stations and TOD projects.
A valid U.S. Driver’s License is required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, the selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in leading growth through sales and business development;
Demonstrated experience in successfully developing client relationships and winning work.
Demonstrated experience leading and managing multiple projects of a complex scope.
