Job Description
AECOM is seeking a talented and highly motivated Project Manager to support our DOE team and help lead a multi-disciplinary project team to support DOE clients. The Deputy Project Manager will lead and support the discipline leads on the project and related service teams of project and strategic planning for project success. Examples of work streams that the DPM would be responsible for include engineering, communications, environmental, and others.
A successful candidate will have knowledge of complex environmental projects, permitting, engineering, and construction. Strong leadership and demonstrated communication skills are necessary to be successful in this role. Strong current knowledge and excellent relationships with DOE contractors related to DOE Office of Environmental Management projects is required.
Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
Support Project Manager and team in daily management and coordination.
Contribute to the formation and ongoing guidance of project PMO in support of the delivery of the project.
Support execution and monitoring of strategic plan and delivery on key client and project success; has broad project management impact.
Prepares and delivers presentations on behalf and in support of the client’s project.
Provide day to day guidance to assigned discipline teams and serve as a liaison between project director in application and execution of the project work plan (PWP) and related project and client project-related issues.
Assesses and manages risk in conjunction with discipline leads on behalf of the project execution.
Provide oversight and direction to AECOM functional leads.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS in Engineering, project management or equivalent 10 years of directly relevant experience at a DOE Environmental Management site; or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
US citizenship is required
As a condition of employment, candidates must pass a drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP certification
Masters level degree in Project Management or Engineering
PE certification preferred
Experience with DOE Orders

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $160,000 to $190,000.
