Description
Aeriz is searching for a full-time Integrated Pest and Environmental Management (IPEM) Technician for our state-of-the-art indoor aeroponic cannabis production facility in Riverbank, CA. The successful candidate will possess a passion for horticulture, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong cannabis knowledge with a willingness to continually learn more about the subject.
The IPEM Technicians are largely responsible for application of preventative agents to preserve the quality of our product. This is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to break into the industry and start building knowledge of Cannabis cultivation and pest management! This role will report directly to the IPEM Manager and work on-site at our facility in Riverbank, CA.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly scout rooms for pest and disease pressure.
- Identifying any areas of concern and reporting to management.
- Install, maintain, and monitor insect traps.
- Recording of any relevant scouting data.
- Ensure proper cleanliness of rooms and products.
- Performing pesticide applications as needed.
- Releasing beneficial insects as needed.
- Supporting other departments as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Ability to work on your own with limited supervision.
- 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
- Good verbal and written communication skills required.
- Good punctuality and attendance required.
- Keen observation skills and attentiveness to minute details required.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be 21 years of age or older and authorized to work in the United States.
- Able to successfully register as an agent in state’s cannabis commission.
- Must adhere to all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry.
