JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the CFO, the Director of Finance provides day-to-day management of institutional priorities and is expected to be an experienced and entrepreneurial leader committed to fostering fiscal and operational excellence. The Director of Finance provides leadership and guidance to ensure financial integrity, operational efficiency, and profitable growth across the organization.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management of financial planning and analysis to include preparation of the organization’s budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans. Works with company leadership and budget owners to ensure organization is on track to meet forecasts.
  • Develop and maintain KPI reporting for all business units and shared resource departments.
  • Work closely with business units to identify areas for improvement and process optimization.
  • Work with department heads to determine the financial impact of new business initiatives.
  • Analyze and present monthly financial performance to company leadership.
  • Develop and implement effective financial policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Assist with the Company’s acquisition and investing activities including valuation and pro forma financial modeling.
  • Contribute to the achievement of the Company’s business objectives by providing advice and guidance on financial strategy.
  • Review existing and potential new contracts and advise leadership team on matters related to contract negotiation and implementation.
  • Manage the company’s banking relationships.
  • Lead Aeroflow’s “Open Book Financials” program to educate employees on the company’s financial performance and to foster employee engagement.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain HIPAA confidentiality
  • Employee has an individual responsibility for knowledge of and compliance with laws, regulations and policies.
  • Compliance is a condition of employment and is considered an element of job performance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.  MBA and/or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive responsibility and successful financial management experience in growing, complex organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to present complex financial analysis to a wide variety of audiences and work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to run access queries
  • Strong financial modeling skills in excel
  • A hybrid work arrangement may be appropriate for this position but candidates must live within a commutable distance from Asheville, NC and be willing and able to work on-site as needed.
