Aerometals is looking to add the following position:
TIG Welder
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to:
- Demonstrate ability to perform weld operations as required by the traveler, drawing and specification requirements.
- Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to plan welding operation where procedural information is unavailable
- Demonstrate ability to TIG weld aerospace components comprised of Aluminum, Nickel, Titanium, and stainless Alloys that range from .020”-.125”
- TIG class A, cut, trim, fit and fabricate metal components to dimensions for building and assembling
- Demonstrate ability to obtain proper weld certifications and re-certifications as required by Aerometals procedures and industry requirements.
- Demonstrate ability to pass bi-annual vision exams as required by Aerometals procedures and industry requirements.
- Demonstrate ability to perform inspection and stamp-off of welds.
- Demonstrate ability to perform any other duties as required by the organization.
Qualification Requirements:
Education:
None required
- Applicable weld certification as required.
- Pass required vision examination.
Desirable Skills:
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Safety Conscious
- Knowledge of AWS D17.1
- Knowledge of shop math and precision measurement equipment
- TIG welding experience
- Certification with AWS D17.1 and D1.2
- Highly proficient in cutting, grinding and fabrication
Desired Experience:
3 years minimum weld experience for certified welder. For an Apprentice welder- on the job training plus ability to pass weld certification and vision test process.

We offer a full range of production services including CNC machining and turning, sheet metal fabrication, welding, assembly, autoclave, and precision assembly.
