Position Summary
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues for semi-custom electromechanical automation systems and assist customers with “script” level programming questions
Essential Functions
- Provide recommendations to customers for programming at the Aerotech controller “script” level, following best practices
- Review engineering/sales documentation to develop a working knowledge of customer-specific Aerotech electromechanical systems
- Participate and/or observe acceptance procedures at Aerotech
- Guide customers through diagnostic procedures via phone/email
- May be required to visit customer site for training, installation and/or troubleshooting
- Collaborate with various departments at Aerotech to expedite customer resolutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant engineering or technical field, ABET accredited program preferred
- 3 years of experience working with Aerotech motion control products or 5 years experience in the automation industry
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment with dynamic objectives
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. Aerotech does not provide US work authorization sponsorship for this position. OPT and CPT visa holders are not eligible for employment if they will need work authorization sponsorship at any time in the future.
