What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly Worker position at Aerotek?
Description:
They provide the Dies to most of the Corrugating Companies such as I Paper, Green Bay Packaging and Westrock.
Fixture Builder - Building custom Dies from start to finish - Working off blueprints and using various hand/power tools (power drills, hammers, etc). Someone with good mechanical aptitude or woodworking experience would be ideal but everyone will be trained as this is a niche skillset.
They will be doing team lifts.
Flat Knifer:
- This position requires candidate to operate a machine to bend rules (blades) then will secure blades to flat die by using a rawhide mallet to pound into die.
- This positions will use upper body strength with hammering throughout the shift
Rotary Knifer:
- This position will be taking foam and placing it around the blades. This area will smell a little bit due to using industrial glue to attach foam to die
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Must be able to lift up to 80lbs
HS diploma/GED preferred
Friendliness and willingness to learn; previous work with a team would be nice to have
Any previous construction or woodworking or assembly is nice to have
Must be able to hold a mallet/hammer and pound almost all day
Must be able to read/write/speak English as making custom dies
