What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Operator position at Aerotek?
Description:
Candidate would be operating a digital cutting and skiving machine to cut materials into different shapes and sizes per exact specifications, in a timely manner.
- Following specifications and effectively running digital die cutting equipment to produce parts as ordered.
- Read and follow work orders and blueprints.
- Visually inspect materials throughout production. Check for for completion of the piece, accuracy, and any defects. Ensure products adhere to specifications listed in blueprints and final products are accurate according to work orders.
- Troubleshoot basic machine problems and perform preventative maintenance.
- Program and adjust options on machinery to make sure they are set up at of each job/production run.
- Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating machinery at available capacity and speed.
- Adhere to production schedules.
- Communicate state of production, issues with machinery or process, any safety incidents to the Supervisor.
- Closing duties: cleaning, dusting, replenishing inventory, and other tasks as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory of needed supplies and notify Supervisor of what needs replenishing.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Cross train on other machines as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
At least 2 years of experience operating CNC Machinery.
Working independently.

Ability to be flexible- cross training in various functions/ different machinery.
Understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
