What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Maintenance Technician position at Aerotek?
12 hour shifts
First and second shift available
Description:
• Utilizes their abilities, skills and that of all production facility team members, other assisting trade groups, contractors, trainees, and helpers to maintain all instrumentation and electrical equipment to a high level of reliability at minimum cost
• Provides assistance and guidance to supervisors and work crews through working knowledge of DCS, PLC programs and instrumentation
• Programs, troubleshoots, and optimizes PLC systems utilizing ladder logic
• Troubleshoots and repairs electrical/mechanical issues using both PLCs and drawings
• Monitors equipment systems to ensure components are fully operational and work to optimal capacity
• Maintains, replaces, and diagnoses all instrument/electrical components in and around the manufacturing site
• Troubleshoots, repairs, modifies, installs, operates, and performs routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance on electrical, electronic, pneumatic, digital, mechanical devices and control systems
• Coordinates with IT/Network support personnel for operational support
• Stays informed of and complies with all safety policies, guidelines, and procedures at all times
• Addresses and/or responds to all safety hazards, near misses and work-related incidents immediately
• Enters data from work orders into CMMS daily
• Offers suggestions and supports in efforts to improve the safety culture of Ostara
• PLC and HMI programming certification, training or 2 years of experience preferred
• At least 3 years of PLC programming and troubleshooting experience desired
• Experience in operation and maintenance practices associated with electrical and instrumentation and automation equipment in an industrial environment required; at least 5 years of experience as an electrician or instrumentation technician strongly preferred
• Training/certification in NFPA 70E strongly preferred
