What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Aerotek?
Description:
These positions are on 2nd shift, 3:00pm to 11:30pm and 3rd shift 11:30p-7:30a
- They will be working directly with hydraulics and pneumatics which will consist of repairing cylinders, cylinoids and using blueprints to identify where the lines need to be.
- They will also be covering the electrical issues that occur.
- More than likely it will be a 70/30 split Mechanical vs electrical work.
- There are a ton of pumps and small motors on the various machines.
- Responsible for the preventative maintenance of all assigned plant equipment, including service, repair or replacement of gearboxes, bearings, chains, belts, etc
- Ensure the mechanical and physical integrity of the production equipment
- Reduce the production down time as a result of mechanical failure
- Ensure that preventative maintenance measures are completed on a timely basis
- Assist Mechanics as needed to complete machine repair and/or equipment troubleshooting
- Assist 1st shift production departments for a timely set up
- Properly and safely use maintenance shop equipment (drill press, lathe, pneumatic tools, etc.) to complete projects
- Follow all safety and housekeeping procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Bending, twisting, stooping
