What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operator position at Aerotek?
Description:
This position assists in the batch production of quality wire drawing lubricants using blade mixers, ribbon blenders, kettles, Turbon mixer, liquid blend tanks, grinders, sifter, bobcats, auger and vacuum baggers and fat/caustic metering systems.
This specific opening will be a combination of a shipping and receiving helper and a general operator. Basically a floater position.
- Candidate will be doing a lot of lifting throughout the day to assist in batch production, which means they will be required to lift over 50 lbs a few times per hour.
- Primary focus will be production warehousing of all finished goods produced throughout the shift
- Receiving of any after hours incoming or outgoing goods.
- Secondary focus will be covering the grinder or sifter depending on need.
- Will have to transport raw materials and finished goods between the warehouse and the production floor.
- Prepare(Clean) the mixers and the blend tanks to prepare them for production. - Sanitation
- Will be emptying the kettles/mixers following each run when the product is finished.
- Lifting materials and emptying various materials into the mixing tanks.
- Will be trained on how to measure out the materials so that you are able to document how much material is being mixed.
- Will be trained on operating the machine, but for the most part, it is pushing the button when you are done loading the machine.
- Candidates may utilize a forklift to ensure everything is stored and ready to go for the morning shift.
This is an entry level opportunity for the most part, candidates will be trained and need to be comfortable working in a heavy industrial, somewhat dirtier environment
Candidate will train on 1st Shift $17.40 hr
1st Shift Training Hours 530 am -3:30pm Monday - Thursday (10 hour days)
Potential for overtime on Fridays, but you can count on 40 hours per week. Not a lot of OT maybe work one Friday a Month
2nd Shift 1:30 PM - 11:30 PM Monday - Thursday (10 hour Days) $17.40 hr
Candidates will train on first shift for up to a month
After training candidates will move to their permanent shift 2nd shift
