Company in OTAY is hiring a warehouse worker ASAP
1st shift
$18hr.
Job Description:
- Warehousemen works with raw material handling and finished product storage handling and inventory operations on all warehouse shifts.
- Follows safety guidelines and rules, GMPS, HACCP checks, food safety and Organic requirements, and all company policies within his area.
- Monitors maintenance of shipping /receiving docks.
- Responsible assist in inventory control of raw materials and packaging materials. Accurate counting records.
- Handles incoming raw materials from point of arrival and insure that all loads of raw materials are stored in accordance with all temperature requirements and unloaded in a timely fashion.
- Responsible for being aware of all incoming of QA Hold issues.
- Responsible for order picking and truck loading/unloading ensuring trucks are properly loaded/unloaded and all cases of product are accounted for.
- Maintains accurate stock rotation first in first out and reviews inventory, insures that product is in storage and alerts appropriate personnel of shortages.
- Responsible for housekeeping of the shipping/receiving docks, receiving office, coolers, warehouse and freezer’s.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience working in logistics.
- General knowledge of Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Inventory, Record Accuracy, Counting Procedures,
- Inventory Control Procedures, Food Safety Requirements, Warehousing, and distribution.
- Knowledgeable of Bills of material and Control Functions.
- Working knowledge of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment in order to detect maintenance problems.
- Working knowledge of truck loading operation, and reefer unit type trailers.
