Mon-Fri 7am-3pm
$20 to $26/hr
Description:
The welder is responsible for the following job duties:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints that come in from a variety of manufacturing sites and range in their origination and specifications
- Laying out and fitting all parts and components prior to tacking them together to be welded
- Running solid wire (MIG / GMAW) or flux/metal core wire (FCAW) welding techniques on metals including mild steel, carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel and galvanized steel
- Grinding and polishing welds after they were finished to help clean and detail the part prior to it moving to inspection
- Operating overhead cranes, jib cranes, hoists and sit down forklifts to move parts from material storage or loading areas to the weld cell
