Job description: GIS Specialist 1
Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assistance to the machine learning developers and organization of client data
- Closely working with Field technicians to facilitate effective completion of projects
- Maintains the integrity and security of AeroTract GIS data
- Completes assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner while adjusting to changing priorities and resource availability
- Prepares reports and maps from GIS data to meet client and business objectives
- Complete special projects and assignments as tasked to meet organizational goals
- Manages and implements a GIS and machine learning pipeline to deliver results to customers
- Completing projects and cooperating with clients to get the job done
- Assist in the development of vegetation management plans
Preferred Candidate Qualifications:
- BS in Forestry/GIS or similar field
- Technical training in GIS/CAD, surveying, or related field
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong technical, problem solving, research, and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask with changing priorities and deadlines
- Ability to take initiative and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Take personal responsibility for your work
- Be able to pass a background/drug test and have a good driving record
- Be 18 years or older and be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Be able to coordinate and interact with clients and other personnel

- This is a part-time hourly 1099 position located out of our Albany, Oregon office, with the potential to become a permanent salary position after the 90 day probationary period.
