The candidate for the New Projects Manager on the AES Clean Energy Wind Development Teamposition will be based out of our Louisville, Colorado office.Duties will includemanaging the origination of greenfield wind projects throughout the U.S. The successful candidate willhave the skills to succeed inleadingmultiple projectsandsupporting a variety ofbusinessdevelopment effortsin a fast-paced environment.
Core Proficiencies:
- 3-5 years of experience in land acquisition for wind, solar, or oil and gas preferred but not required.
- Exceptional organizational, communication,problem solving,and time management skills.
- Independent thinker able to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
Principal Duties andResponsibilities:
The Project Manager within the Wind Development Teamwillpartner with cross-functional teamsin activities leading to the successful origination of new wind projects. Specific duties will include:
- Negotiating site control agreements with new landowners to support wind development activities.
- Manage external land agents negotiating site control agreements.
- Manage transition of projects from the New Projects to Project Development Teams.
- Act as a representative for AES Clean Energy in meetings with the community and local officials.
DesiredSkills and Expertise:
- Experience with renewable development preferred
- Project management skills including a strong interest in managing and prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability tocommunicate efficiently in verbal and written correspondence.
