Job description
AES Group, Inc. designs and builds medical gas and vacuum systems with a 25 year relationship with most hospitals and labs in Northern California. We are looking for a Sales and Service Manager for our service, repairs and preventative maintenance division. Specific product knowledge is a plus, we ready to train the right candidate. We are looking for a competent lead to guide the department to success, facilitate incoming business inquiries, manage customer relationships and assist with operational procedures. You’ll be directly responsible for the preservation and expansion of our customer base, and a smooth flowing operational system when it comes to data management. This role is an intricate link between other departments and requires a candidate who can own the process of triaging issues and delivering success. The ideal candidate will have talent in customer-facing roles. We can train for content and detail but you must be a reliable professional able to achieve a balance between customer orientation and a results-driven approach. The goal is to provide existing and prospective customers with the information they need relating to products, orders, and any other questions they may have while building long-term profitable relationships based on trust and mutual satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Creates and maintains a high-quality work environment so team members are motivated to perform at their highest level
- Answers incoming customer calls regarding order inquiries, billing issues, product problems, service questions and general client questions
- Responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism with clients and working to establish a positive rapport with every caller
- Update customer information in the customer service database
- Work with the management team to stay updated on product knowledge
- Remain in frequent contact with the clients
- Keep detailed records of communications, sales and general customer/order data
Skills
- Proven experience in sales/customer service roles
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain a general understanding of the products and learn the jargon
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel; knowledge of CRM software
(Salesforce) and Quickbooks is a plus
- Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
- Organizational and time-management skill
- Enthusiastic and passionate
- BA or BS degree is a plus
