The candidate for this position will report to the QC Construction Manager based out of our Louisville, CO office or remote location and will have responsibilities during the construction process, directly oversee civil construction compliance of PV solar and battery storage renewable assets in all areas of the United States. The candidate should be able to collaborate and communicate effectively in a team environment and exercise project authority over all quality aspects of the site. The candidate must be able to work independently and be self-driven to accomplish goals and objectives while maintaining oversight of all QC inspections on the construction project on a daily basis. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Responsibilities Daily, monitor/report and document at least 10% of all activity for QC issues. Observe all safety rules/ regulations and perform duties in a safe and efficient manner. Creates a culture of continuous improvement. Work closely with EPC and contractors to ensure project compliance providing guidance, interpretation, and process requirements. Ability to read and understand blueprints and QC documents. Attend internal and external meetings as necessary (e.g., daily, weekly). Maintain a updated punch list and communicate to the team on a daily basis. Ensure all work being performed onsite is per scope and design to minimize punch list items. As an Owner’s representative make certain that the company is being represented in accordance with AES Clean Energy’s corporate values. Implementing methods to inspect and evaluate products per the QC requirements. Managing a team of construction QC inspectors to ensure that all projects are being performed according to meet all QC and Environmental Standards. Competencies and Skills Excellent oral and written communication skills. Work as a team to accomplish the goals set by your manager. Ability to prioritize and delegate. Understanding of OSHA rules and regulations for a construction site. Good judgment and sound decision-making skills. Work with EPC Contractor to ensure that commitments have been fulfilled by expected deadlines. Ability to work with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, and Power PowerPoint as well as other programs for reporting purposes. Qualifications: 2-10 years of QC experience 1 year of renewable experience Available to work Monday-Friday for a long-term project. Strong structural, mechanical, and electrical understanding Willing to pass a background check. OSHA 30 construction Ability to perform inspections from ladders and manlift platforms. Experience interpreting drawing to actual field installation.
