Specialist - Accounting Royalty

Job Description SUMMARY OF POSITION We are a fun, hard-working, faced paced, niche media company licensing and distributing video content through cable, home video, streaming services and digital download as well as related merchandise via wholesale and direct to consumer. We are looking for a self-motivated, accounting support candidate with demonstrated competency related to administrative work and Excel. The successful candidate must enjoy meticulously maintaining records, files, and Excel worksheets, including data compilation from various digital and manual sources, data entry, scanning, data review and preparation of reports. Detailed and accuracy are required as reports are shared with third parties. You should be able to multitask, be proactive, take initiative, meet deadlines, communicate effectively and professionally as well as interact with senior management. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Support the department with research, analytics, and detailed data entry into XL format reports. • Develop an understanding and mastery of key transactional processes and related data flows for licensing and other revenues for royalty reporting. • Track and receive reports from third party platforms and report formats, such as XL, and import into the proprietary content management system. • Reconcile cash reports with sublicensor submitted royalty reports. • Prepare recurring management reports with data from a variety of sources. • Establish, collaborate and maintain good relationships with various company departments. • Other duties as may be assigned from time to time. JOB REQUIREMENTS • Strong, proven Excel skills. • Minimum of 3 years of professional business experience in one or more administrative, finance and/or accounting functions. • High level of attention to detail and relevance, quality and accuracy are critical. • Solid background in data research, exporting, analysis and problem-solving skills. • Pro-active, strong work ethic and organizational skills and ability to interact with employees in a professional manner. • Ability to multi-task and adhere to strict deadlines, ability to work independently or with a team in a fast-paced environment. • Must have high ethical standards, maturity and maintain strict confidentiality. • Associates or College degree in Business with a major in finance or accounting. • Pass background check. • Ability to work from home dependent on candidate. • Ability to observe company safety protocols, including in office mask wearing and social distancing.
