What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level - Graphic Designer position at AEX Convention Services?
We are seeking a full time, entry level Graphic Designer who would be responsible for the creation of large format graphics from initial concept to final production under the supervision of the Sign Shop Manager.
This it NOT a remote position. Candidate will be required to work onsite.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure timely creation, development and production of graphics, including posters, and large format displays
- Work with clients directly to establish creative direction of all projects
- Proof all material prior to production and ensure quality control
- Work with vendors to produce outsourced graphics
- Print, cut and prepare all signs for delivery
- Light lifting required of sign shop materials
- Perform routine machine maintenance on UV Flatbed Printer
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Functional knowledge of the following software programs: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Microsoft Office. AutoCad and 3D experience a plus.
- Able to take a design from concept phase to the final piece
- Highly organized, able to multi-task successfully, detail oriented and ability to manage time and work under tight deadlines
- Strong work ethic and get-it-done attitude
- Collaborative team player willing to provide and accept constructive criticism
- Strong abstract skills and the ability to support and communicate ideas
- Experience with Onyx RIP software running large format printers, laminators, and plotters a plus
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 2-3 years graphic design/production
