As a Electrical Project Engineer in our Substation Group in our Overland Park, KS office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.

Responsibilities

Here's why we need you:

 In this role, you will work on projects ranging from designing central utility plants (steam, hot water, chilled water) for large campuses and healthcare facilities (District Energy / CHP), industrial/manufacturing facilities, large-scale data centers, energy storage facilities, and plant betterment projects for utility plants.

Qualifications

Expertise of our most successful Electrical Project Engineer:

  • BSEE (or other engineering discipline with applicable experience).
  • 10 years of experience in the consulting engineering industry
  • Experience with communicating with clients, partners and individuals at all levels within an organization.

Effective skills to help you flourish:

  • Professional Engineering License (PE) in one or more states.
  • Experience in substation design and power systems including specification of medium voltage (15kV – 69kV ) equipment, fault and coordination studies, protection schemes and protective relays.
  • Proficiency in computer operation for engineering calculation/selection software such as SKM or ETAP.
  • Strong spoken and written communications skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Quick technical comprehension and motivation focused on client outcomes.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively individually and within team environments.
