POSITION SUMMARY: Support Health Information applications by providing analysis, troubleshooting, training, and end user support.
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's Degree in information technology, Business, Nursing, Education, or related field required.
Experience:
- Requires three (3) years Health Information Technology experience. NextGen EHR and EPM experience preferred.
- Requires two (2) years' experience designing and delivering adult technical training.
- Requires one (l) year system/workflow analysis, preferably in the Healthcare field.
Skills and Abilities which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position:
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good written and oral communication skills including preparation of training materials
- Advanced knowledge of clinical trends and technologies
- Understanding of clinical workflows
- Advanced level understanding of all MS Office software
Transportation Requirement:
- Must possess a valid driver's license and automobile with insurance coverage as required by the State of Missouri.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Essential Functions
- Training of employees of all skill levels, including the creation and maintenance of training materials and an online repository. Assist in evaluation of training objectives and in-service programs,
- Participates in the planning, development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of health information systems. these activities may include design, configuration, data collection and cataloguing of gathered information, documentation of the process, etc.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the process involved in these activities.
- Participate in the process of revising and implementing changes in both the automated and manual components health information systems. Respond appropriately to requests and concerns from users or others affected by the system.
- Maintain a detailed understanding and working knowledge of the current health information systems, its functions, and its relationship to other information systems within the enterprise.
- Creation of ad hoc reports, including assistance to users in data gathering initiatives and support of users in defining requirements and reporting.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current trends and issues in healthcare, nursing practice, healthcare informatics, national and state-wide standards and regulations, enterprise policies and procedures as related to clinical practice.
- Provide pro-active applications support and troubleshooting of all system issues.
- Handle multiple project responsibilities, prioritizing work and resolving technical emergencies as they occur.
- Provide technical support and information systems expertise for variety of organization-wide initiatives as well as participation or membership of organizational work groups and committees.
- Other duties as assigned.
