Job ID: R28718 IT Lead Sourcing Consultant (Remote Role) (Open) Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Compensation Minimum:$90,200 Compensation Maximum:$144,500 Summary: Job Family Summary Accountable for the strategic sourcing life cycle including spend analytics, supply market analysis, supplier evaluation and selection, contracting, supplier risk and performance management, and contingent labor management. Develops and implements corporate policies and procedures. Standardizes procurement contracts, service level agreements, systems and processes across the organization. Develops business unit relationships with category owners. Fosters awareness and education of procurement best practices throughout the organization. Monitors supplier contracts across the organization. Job Summary Serves as the primary point of contact for a business unit whose sourcing needs are highly specialized, complex, and high risk. Responsible for developing knowledge of the business unit`s operations and building relationships with leaders in order to determine their business needs. Responsible for developing and executing a sourcing project portfolio based on established category strategies to enable the business unit to successfully achieve its objectives. Serves as the project manager for the entire sourcing event utilizing the expertise of other roles in the organization to deliver results. Assures all activities in the project plan are completed according to sourcing procedures. Assists the business unit in managing the contract and supplier after the acquisition is complete. Uses expert knowledge to coach and mentor the sourcing team on strategic sourcing methodology, negotiation, contract language and terms. Contributes to continuous improvement of sourcing processes, tools and methodologies. Primary Accountabilities Defines the scope and strategy for high complexity sourcing events. Identifies, develops and qualifies sourcing opportunities based on spend, value opportunity, risk and resource availability. Develops and presents proposed objectives, strategy and project plan to business partners and sponsors, obtains approvals and aligns sponsorship and resources needed to move project into active execution. Leads cross functional teams and internal functional teams to successful outcomes. Serves as a subject matter expert for assigned supplier contracts. Assure compliance with contract approval process and adherence to contract standards. Assists and supports stakeholders in contract management from award to completion or termination. Develops contract terms and conditions by negotiating with suppliers, involving internal subject matter experts as appropriate, to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes while supporting overall business objectives. Leads the entire sourcing process for RFxs, renewals, new contracts, etc. and oversees the project management process (e.g. scope, time, communication, risk mitigation, change management). Continuously identifies opportunities for process improvements and improved services for stakeholders. Markets the value of strategic sourcing to management and internal customers. Provides reporting to business unit leaders to help them understand spend, sourcing project activity, risks, opportunities and results. Uses knowledge of business unit operations, market intelligence and defined sourcing objectives to facilitate the evaluation of complex competitive offerings and determine best overall offer for a product or service. Compares supplier bids across financial parameters and identifies expected timing of savings/value cash flows. Assesses qualitative trade-offs between the different supplier proposals. Uses expert knowledge to coach and mentor the sourcing team on strategic sourcing methodology, negotiation, contract language and terms. Contributes to continuous improvement of sourcing processes, tools and methodologies. Other duties as assigned Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service. Extensive knowledge of sourcing practices including RFxs, contract negotiation, market intelligence. Extensive knowledge and understanding of supplier performance management techniques. Expert knowledge employing advanced end-to-end strategic sourcing processes, practices and tools to large, complex spend categories. Demonstrated experience deploying procure-to-pay/supply chain processes to contracts and spend categories. Demonstrated experience leading large complex projects. Extensive knowledge and understanding of contract negotiation techniques. Extensive knowledge and understanding of project management practices. ExtensiveIs knowledge and understanding of goods and services contract terms. Solid knowledge and understanding of preparing reports, charts and presentations. Demonstrated experience with project management methodologies, practices, techniques and tools. Travel Requirements This position requires travel up to 10% of the time.
