The Planning/Project/Program Manager provides project management or planning expertise for Talent Acquisition. May specialize in planning or projects or may be expected to provide expertise in both areas: Leads projects and ensures effective integration and communication between multiple projects. Leads planning and process improvement analysis and recommendations to improve business performance within the division. Facilitates long term planning and prepares divisional reporting for metrics, budget and expenses. Analyzes trends and provides recommendations to address concerns.
Job Description:
Primary Accountabilities
- Under leadership direction, implements divisional planning processes and tools that link into corporate planning process. Writes, monitors, and implements corporate operational plan and other division specific business plans. Develops capacity projections, workforce planning and related structural planning.
- Leads single or a group of related projects to accomplish business objectives. Collaborates cross divisionally as necessary to ensure project success. Manages project scope, timeline, risks, communications, resources and project integration. Ensures that the various elements of the project are properly coordinated. Ensures timely completion of projects within acceptable budget tolerances.
- Leverages available project management tools and corporate resources to help plan and manage the project.
- Leads, facilitates and supports complex process improvement activities and methodologies. Identifies, documents and oversees development of core business processes. Leads the development and implementation of complex process experimentation and piloting. Collaborates with process owners to identify, analyze and develop key measures.
- In some divisions, may be responsible for coordinating divisional/operation budget preparation, monitoring and reporting. Collaborates with the Finance Division to support budget, expense management and cost benefit analysis processes.
- May represent division on corporate committees, processes, or work such as Corporate, Business Continuity Planning, and other related projects. Maintains implementation of disaster recovery plans and coordinates resources from within the division as well as other areas in the company.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
- Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service
- Demonstrated experience managing and leading projects or programs involving the integration of multiple projects across functional areas.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of change management and process improvement methodologies.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of planning/budget/metrics or project management methodologies, practices, techniques and tools.
Additional Job Information:
- Travel is 20% for this role, but will be more if you are remote or located outside of Madison, WI due to regular trips to our headquarters for program initiatives, mainly during the first year of employment.

There currently two openings on the Talent Acquisition team. Based on your experience, you may be considered for a Senior level role.
The ideal candidate(s) will have experience in the university relations and campus recruitment landscape, and have the ability to be innovative and create new frameworks to attract talent. The ideal candidate(s) will have excellent influencing skills, multi-task flawlessly, be detail oriented, and seek continuous improvement.
In this role you will be:
- Assisting with the overall conceptualization and development for early career rotation programs and/ or an enterprise wide internship program
- Influencing executive leaders to encourage the growth of the program(s) and establish the value proposition
- Creating robust project plan with timelines and identifying risks & blockers for execution
- Working with business partners to determine workforce planning goals
- Partnering with campus recruitment team to identify target schools, organize student events, career fairs, and recruit for internship and early career opportunities
- Designing & executing robust on-boarding and development experiences for intern and rotation program hires
- Ensuring strict adherence to program budget, modelling the financial impact of new programs that enable sound, fiscally-minded decisions
