Job Description
Job title: Knowledge Manager
Hours of work: Full time hours are 37.5, Monday to Friday and we are always open to considering part time and flexi-time applicants.
Location: Oxford city centre. Minimum of 2 days per week in the office and the rest of the week the job holder can work from home
With a focus on supporting our teams to meet, document, and share best practices, this role will be key in growing our knowledge sharing capacity across our matrix organisation and growing geographical footprint. Working closely with your client facing colleagues, activities will include facilitating and supporting our teams across the world through technology, facilitation, and reporting skills. This might include championing us to use to their maximum efficiency existing technologies like SharePoint and MS Teams, organising webinars and collaborative working to support the creation and delivery of action plans, as well as owning our Empower powerpoint library and many other related activities.
The Knowledge Manager role offers a unique opportunity to be part of our team building and working autonomously to shape our knowledge management capability on a local and global level. The Knowledge Manager is responsible for a range of critical activities to support the management of AFRY Management Consulting knowledge capital as well as engagement with the consulting business to drive cultural change and take-up of knowledge management services. The role holder will work to build on and enhance AFRY’s knowledge strategy, and build robust knowledge processes, tools, and systems.
So, what are we looking for?
Key skills we are looking for:
• Both practical and theoretical understanding of knowledge and information management; a passion for the benefits of great collaboration and knowledge sharing for organisational impact, and personal growth.
• Outgoing, an enthusiastic communicator, able to build rapport with multiple stakeholders quickly. Able to navigate a degree of ambiguity.
• Experience working with Communities of Practice, including organising, facilitating, holding to account, and supporting with communications.
• Experience of developing or streamlining processes and tools to support knowledge sharing, including performance analytics. (Excel skills required, PowerBI desirable).
• Experience in MS SharePoint OnPrem/Online (e.g. building and managing sites), MS Teams, Yammer and other MS365 apps. (Experience with the Viva Suite desirable).
• Inquisitive, with a “can do” attitude, able to formulate delivery plans, and act on them.
• Able to prioritise and respond efficiently and effectively
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of change.
• Chartership, certification, or qualifications in knowledge management or allied disciplines are desirable but not essential.
