Location: Leavenworth, KS
Contract: 13 weeks contract with a possibility of extension
Pay rate: $15/hr
Work Schedule: 36hrs/week
Shift: 7am-7:30pm

Client Overview
For over twenty years, our client has provided an extensive and always-expanding array of health care services to their region and beyond.
They serve patients through a collection of health care offerings, including a critical access hospital, emergency room, two family clinics, women’s clinic, specialty clinic, and a well-equipped medical transportation division. Their extensive services include specialty practices, surgery, physical and occupational therapies, laboratory service, imaging advanced and much more.
They’re located in scenic Southern Colorado, with majestic peaks framing their primary campus on U.S. Highway 160, just three miles west of I-25.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Answers clients call signals
- Conducts activities for recreation and socialization
- Ensures the safety and security of clients
- Feeds clients who are unable to feed themselves
- Provides client care by supplying and emptying bedpans, applying dressings and supervising exercise routines
- Provides clients with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed
- Provides subprofessional occupational and/or physical therapy services to physically and/or developmentally disabled patients
- Transports and/or accompanies clients to treatment units, using a wheelchair or stretcher
- Turns and re-positions bedridden clients, alone or with assistance, to prevent bedsores
- Receives additional training, as required, to gain full proficiency and experience in all areas
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be extremely flexible and reliable
- CNA certification
- LTC and/or Alzheimer’s unit.
- Needs to be willing to float to both units when needed. Potential for OT.
