The successful Canidate will:
Curently there are 2 openings. 1 for 2nd shift (2:00pm -10:30pm, Monday to Friday) and 1 on 3rd shift ( 10:00 pm - 6:30 am, Sunday - Thursday)
Responsibilities:
-Set up and operate CNC horizontals, lathes and twin spindles.
-Understands and has knowledge related to using Fanuc, Okuma and Mitsubishi controls to adjust offsets and change programs.
-Read detailed blueprints.
-Run parts to print.
-Gage parts and document critical dimensions every hour.
-Follow machine safety policies.
-Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Requirements, and Essential Job Functions:
-Must be able to work Monday thru Friday from 2:00 pm until 10:30 pm. Working overtime is required.
-Must possess a minimum of 3-5 years of CNC Machining experience working in a manufacturing environment.
-Satisfactory completion of a 90 day review program.
-Demonstrated proficiency in English comprehension and expression both verbal and written.
-No history of repeated or severe disciplinary action for violation of OPW company policy.
-Satisfactory completion of all required training programs.
-Possess a basic knowledge of blueprint reading skills and have the ability to apply them.
-Must have basic math skills (i.e. subtraction, addition, decimals, fractions and conversions).
-Demonstrated skills using basic measurement tools (i.e. calipers, micrometers and scale).
-The ability to be self directed and task motivated is key.
-Must be willing and able to comply with all plant safety policies.
-Ability to work adjusted shift times and work overtime to accommodate production/project needs. Working weekends may be required.
-Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
-Must be able to stand, bend, push, pull, twist, kneel, climb and work in weather extremes.
-Must be able to wear all required PPE.
