Education/Experience:
Student pursuing a college level degree in agriculture with emphasis on agronomy, crop, soil, weed management, Ag business, or other Ag science course work. Applicant with background in agriculture preferred.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Description
Summary: Throughout the internship season this position will work with the team on a range of designated agronomic operations and/or sales activities and projects. This role will help the Agronomy Department with related support activities by performing the following duties with the intent of growing into a more specific Agronomy role.
Initial Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- The Agronomy Intern will function under the supervision of the Location Manager OR Sales Manager.
- Be responsible for assigned Sales/Agronomy/Research projects and activities.
- Duties could include monitoring projects throughout the summer, taking pictures, taking soil & tissue samples, delivering product and gathering data.
- Assist our Federated Discovery Plot Cooperator and Federated Agronomist with assigned Discovery Plot related research projects.
- Present information to agronomy group at completion of project.
- General field scouting with documentation and diagnose problems.
- Attend meetings (sales meetings, training events).
- Assists other agronomists/locations when needed or asked by the manager.
- Insect, weed, and disease monitoring.
- Generating computerized detailed field reports.
- Work closely with producers and fellow employees to provide outstanding customer service.
- Operate equipment as directed by the Location Manager.
- Communicate in a professional manner with customers and management.
- Other duties as assigned.
