Job Description
Colby Community College is accepting applications for a full-time on-site Farm Manager. Under the supervision of the Vice President of Business Affairs, the Farm Manager performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance activities on buildings, grounds, and equipment. The Farm Manager will be expected to provide leadership to the work-studies and all other students associated with the farm, as well as to the seasonal personnel hired during the summer months. Most work is performed outdoors in hot, cold, or inclement weather. Additional duties entail working in environmentally controlled buildings. Exposure to fumes, noxious odors, dust, mists, gases, and hazardous chemicals exists.
SALARY
$40,000-$43,000 depending on credentials and experience.
Housing and cost of basic utilities are provided, along with access to the college-owned farm vehicle. Flexible benefits program that includes options for single and family health and dental coverage, life insurance, reimbursement accounts, sick leave, vacation leave, and 21 days of holiday pay. Participation in the state retirement program is required.
