What are the responsibilities and job description for the Boiler Superintendent position at AG PROCESSING INC?
Ag Processing Inc is currently hiring for a boiler superintendent at our soy processing facility in Hastings, NE. This person will provide overall supervision to boiler house operations. Ensure proper operating parameters, techniques, and safety is maintained at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operation of boiler house in order to control costs, maintain sanitation and safety, and control production efficiencies.
- Review boiler log sheets and identify operating problems or deficiencies.
- Assure production operating efficiencies while maintaining sanitation standards.
- Maintain inventories/supplies for the boiler and cooling tower chemicals.
- Maintain records of all equipment repairs and modifications.
- Maintain accurate coal usage and power usage records.
- Develop cost reduction and efficiency opportunities.
- Work closely with other facility Superintendents to coordinate activities and production schedules.
- Provide back up for Plant Superintendent when necessary.
