AGCO Corp has an exciting opportunity for a Contract Manager to join its Legal team in Duluth, GA (Hybrid). Only 30 minutes outside of Atlanta, Duluth is home to AGCO headquarters. The location allows easy access to the big city lifestyle that Atlanta provides. The headquarters have grown to now include over 500 employees.
As part of our AGCO Legal team, the Contract Manager (CM) leads and coordinates the flow of agreements through the Legal Department to ensure that proper and efficient reviews are performed by the Legal team, final approvals are obtained, and contracts are executed by authorized signatories placed in a contract repository. The CM assists with the development and documentation of the requirements of the contracting process.
What you will do:
- Responsible for driving the Legal contract review process and procedures across the region and ensuring adherence thereto.
- Provides general guidance to business stakeholders regarding contract requirements and expectations and ensures requirements are met before sending contracts for Legal review.
- In conjunction with the Contract Administrator, tracks contract status and flow through the Contract Management tool.
- Provides guidance to the Contract Administrator on prioritizing contracts, determining required level of attorney review, routing contracts for Legal review and approval, and obtaining appropriate approvals and signatures.
- Assists stakeholders in the use of contract templates (where available).
- Manages contract edits, changes and version control during the Legal review process.
- Responsible for actively reviewing and ensuring that current policies / procedures are aligned with and updated according to regulatory requirements.
What you will bring:
Bachelor's degree, Paralegal, law-related degree, or commensurate working experience preferred or equivalent in an associated discipline.- Ten (10 ) years of experience in contract management.
- Extensive knowledge of legal contractual terms and conditions
- Ability to identify potential risks and determine mitigation strategies and contractual clauses to address such risks considering commercial needs.
- Strong understanding of agreement hierarchy: Master, SOW and Standalone
- Ability to provide meaningful input into contracting strategy.
- Ability to make quick and thoughtful decisions while understanding overall impact on AGCO.
- Able to effectively interact with business units regarding legal terms of contracts and business terms, when necessary
A Plus If You Have
- High level of experience in wide range of contracts, Master Agreements, Framework Agreements, SOWs and Service Contracts, experience with IT and software agreements
