At agencyQ, our team members partner with our clients to develop digital solutions driven by our knowledge and strategic expertise. We are searching for an insightful and passionate Quality Assurance Engineer and Business Analyst to join our team in Washington DC.
The primary function of this QA Engineer and Business Analyst will be to maintain and help guide overall quality standards for all company software based products through the use of systematic processes.
Responsibilities
- Design quality assurance and test processes for typically Internet-based web applications, sites and platforms.
- Analyze design and determine test scripts, coding, automation, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution.
- Write and execute complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identify, debug, and create solutions for issues with code and integration into software and firmware architecture.
- Use industry standard testing tools but also be able to develop tools, environments and scripts to automate test execution.
- Represent the software quality assurance team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects.
- Maintain documentation of testing to assist in debugging software.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.
- Ensure 508 accessibility requirements are met
Job Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 4-6 years experience
Knowledge and Skills
- Using software quality assurance tools and processes.
- Software testing methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools
- Experience with web application and website design, including CMS functionality
- Expertise in Selenium, BrowserStack, ZAP, Azure and other industry standard testing tools, plus a scripting language is required
- Experience with Sitecore, Kentico or other .NET enterprise technology a plus
- Experience with WordPress, Drupal or other Opensource technology a plus
