What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Secretary position at AGG Legal Staffing?
One of the largest and most prestigious law firms in the Western United States is seeking a Litigation Secretary.
You will calendar, docket, send out correspondence, take in paperwork, manage, and reconcile payments, assist with filings, and perform other duties as assigned.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Manages files, opens new matters as requested by attorneys, and maintains all relevant document inclusions for the files
- Ensures that all documents have been proofread, edited, and revised as necessary
- Manage calendars and travel schedules
- Record billable and unbillable (client and administrative) time spent in the correct file matters
- Anticipates the needs of Attorneys & keep Attorneys organized
- Develops and maintains smooth working relationships with Attorneys, Clients, and Staff
- Create tasks and upload and send emails in client document management system
- Responds to phone calls and emails in a professional manner
Required Skills and Abilities:
- 1 to 2 years of prior administrative assistance experience, law firm experience preferred, but not required
- Must be familiar with Nevada Rules of Civil Procedure
- State and Federal filing experience
- Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook proficiency
- Possess excellent proofing and editing skills
- Strong attention to detail
