What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Clerk position at Agile Cold Storage LLC?
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Custodial: At times, a Temporary Laborer is assigned to this activity which requires sweeping, empty trash containers, clean restrooms, and lunchrooms.
Remove Spacers: Blast frozen product is brought to the dock area and staged for spreader removal. The product is placed on a tipper and the pallet is tilted to 90°. The spacers are removed and stacked. The pallet is removed from the tipper and placed in storage.
In some cases, temporary labor removes the cases manually and stacks the spacers. This will occur when the number of cases per layer changes.
Order Selection: A Temporary Laborer may perform an order selection function. If so, the individual must first be trained and issued a forklift license related to the equipment he/she is capable of handling. The laborer will be given pick documents which identify where to remove product. Product is palletized to customer needs and specifications and sent to the dock for verification.
Special Services: Temporary Laborers will work on special services as identified by the plant superintendent. The area supervisor is responsible for training and verifying compliance of temporary laborers.

Material Handling Certification is used to order select or any task requiring equipment.
