Job Summary
The Inventory Management, Field Manager will run and monitor the day-to-day operations of inventory tracking and reporting, after initial implementation, in order to ensure that there is inventory visibility. The main responsibilities of this position include managing the on-site Inventory Management Field Coordinators as well as overseeing the recording and tracking of materials purchased, received and issued. This position will be maintaining safe work practices while identifying process improvements. The Inventory Manager must excel when working in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities with excellence and efficiency. This individual will partner with Agile’s crossfunctional teams, customers, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve issues involving customer needs.

Job Functions

  • Observes and complies with customer’s and Agile’s Safety & Health Program to ensure own safety as well as safety of those on site.
  • Oversees all materials shipping, receiving, tracking, scheduling and planning activities.
  • Understands the customer’s objectives and works to implement Agile’s Scope of Work.
  • Develops rapport with customer becoming trusted advisor on inventory management services.
  • Leads and directs Inventory Management Field Coordinators in day to day activities.
  • Reviews tracking and inventory reports including KPIs and SLAs to ensure accuracy and maintain current status of project progress.
  • Supports yard assessments and maintains organized, safe yard layout.
  • Supports project planning through technical expertise and process adherence for implementation, standardized SOWs, change order management, and real-time reporting.
  • Provides guidance and direction to Program team members to ensure consistent and effective communication is delivered to customer.
  • Drives issues resolution and continuous improvement throughout the Operations team/programs.
  • Ensures all suppliers adhere to schedule requirements and comply with terms of purchase orders.
  • Ensures opportunities to consume/redeploy inventory are optimized.
  • Accountable for effective automation of Program operational processes.
  • Utilizes preferred software tools (SAP, SX.e, Sharepoint, Power BI, etc.) to define, develop and track leading and lagging indicators associated with Program performance.
  • Develops methodologies to effectively and efficiently present summaries of current operational details to Program stakeholders.

  • *Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics or directly related discipline or equivalent 4 years of experience in a Supply Chain or Operations environment.
  • Minimum five years of Sourcing/Procurement experience.
  • Strong competencies in staff management
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) designation is preferred.

Competencies

  • Proven experience in strategic Sourcing and Inventory management roles.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and forecasting methods.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. SAP, SX.e).
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral, with the ability to professionally represent the company and program in multiple settings.
  • Presents numerical data effectively and is able to read and interpret written information.
  • Strong proficiency with computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to multitask, think strategically, problem solve and collaborate with team members.
  • Highly motivated, results focused and acts with a high sense of urgency.
