Quality Manager Job Description
AGILE is seeking a Quality Manager who will be a part of the Agile Leadership team, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). This role is on site in Durango, Colorado. The Quality Manager is the functional leader for Agile’s Quality Engineers and Inspectors.
Responsibilities:
- Owns, ensures compliance to, and leads improvements to the Agile Quality Management System. Lead team to combine two historic site QMS into a single effective and appropriate campus QMS.
- Leads compliance audits at the Agile sites in Durango, Colorado and Mt Pleasant, PA.
- Owns the quality organization mission, objectives, and key results.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and establish supplier quality requirements. Complete supplier audits as necessary.
- Develop and deliver quality training programs for employees to promote culture of quality excellence.
- Experience with tooling and instrumentation calibration reports as well as dispositioning out of tolerance notifications.
- In depth knowledge of root cause and corrective action tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify quality improvement opportunities.
- Communicate clearly and professionally up and down the organization.
- Interface with customers, regulatory agencies as necessary to address quality related concerns.
- Up to 10% travel
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field.
- Experience growing and managing a harmonious small team (5-10 people).
- Leadership experience that demonstrates a proactive and collaborative approach to quality
- AS9100D Lead Auditor Certification and experience.
- Ability to read, interpret and train others on inspecting GD&T on engineering drawings.
- Proficient with and able to train others on common inspection tools, such as callipers, micrometres, and pin gages.
- Able to reduce raw data to generate quality metrics, trends and statistics.
- Capable to lift 25 pounds on an infrequent basis.
- Able to handle ITAR / EAR data.
Preferred Skills and Experiences:
- 5 years of experience in Quality or Operations.
- Applicable master’s degree is a plus.
- Quality Management certification such as Certified Quality Manager or Six Sigma, is desirable.
- Experience with NDE inspection techniques or Range Safety compliance.
- Knowledge about Mil-Spec, ASME, DOT, etc., regulation compliance (such as 49 CFR, MIL-STD-130, etc.).
- Experience with implementing Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Exposure to software quality or mission assurance.
- Experience with Ion and/or Deltek TIP QA.
