SLIMS Laboratory Software Pre-Sales Application Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Pre-Sale Applications Engineer who will work with our SLIMS (LIMS and ELN) platform be part of our dynamic team. SLIMS is Agilent-s latest flagship software which includes LIMS and ELN aswell as other capabilities such as Workflow and Stability Study management.

As a SLIMS Pre-Sale Application Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a good relationship with our customers, for configuring our flagship platform to match the requirements of their lab in the pre-sale part of the Sales process. You'll be working closely, with the Product Specialist and Post Sales Delivery teams to understand customer requirements in detail and to configure SLIMS to meet these requirements. You-ll be calling on biobanks, Pharma, Biotech, NGS, and genomics labs, and must have a solid understanding of their workflows.

The candidate will also play a role in the Implementation project in deploying SLIMS software to customers (they will not be the Project Lead but more involved in some of the activities like training, etc) as part of the overall Project Team.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters Degree or University Degree or equivalent.
• Typically 4 years meaningful experience for entry to this level.
• Laboratory experience whether it be in Analytical, Pharma, Biopharma, Genomics, NGS, etc is a plus
• A Bachelor's degree and/or Master Degree in a relevant field (BS/BA in a life science preferred)
• Technically proficient
• Strong scientific acumen
• Ability to travel at least 25% of the time (overnight)
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills
• Some programming/ Coding knowledge in Java is a plus
• Requires in-depth knowledge and experience in job and ability to work independently.
