Product Owner

Agility is seeking a Product Owner who will lead the entire product lifecycle from identifying opportunities through new product launch and ongoing management. We want you to help us reach our full growth potential as a company through product innovation. We are not talking about moving the occasional button or making that button a different color, we need someone to bring creative and new ideas.  

This opportunity is a highly collaborative role that gathers and prioritizes inputs from customers and cross functional stakeholders, and drives design, build, and launch cycles with UX, Engineering, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a highly coachable product owner, looking to start or grow in the practice of leading teams to design, build, and grow innovative SaaS products and platforms.

You will have an opportunity to grow and refine skills in roadmap and backlog management, user research, UX, Scrum, Data analysis, documentation, GTM, and presentation skills. Leveraging best-in-class tools and frameworks in SaaS Agile development.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with Customers, Sales, Customer Success, and Product Managers, to capture and fully understand/research ideas suggested for feature enhancements.
• Learn and leverage analytics and usage tracking data to understand the customer experience and identify areas for improvement.
• Score ideas and stage them in Product Backlog (Aha) for voting prior to the quarterly prioritization sessions.
• Facilitate the prioritization sessions, summarize, and communicate the results.
• Write Epics and User Stories. As needed, work with UI designer to create mockups and record voice over videos that rapidly convey the current vs. the future feature.
• Serve as the Product Owner on an agile development team. Own the backlog and prioritize stories in alignment with the product roadmaps.  Attend daily stand-ups, provide business context, and clarification of user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate a cross functional team (including Sales Training, Marketing, and Sales Operations) for quarterly feature enhancement releases and contribute content to product marketing and sales training deliverables.
• Serve as a product expert, product evangelist, and the voice of the customer.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships across departments.

Qualifications- What we are looking for:

• BA degree in computer, or design degree or equivalent of 1-2 years.
• 1-2 years of experience in software either as a product owner or business analyst, or 1-2 years of experience at a consulting firm.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Strong listening skills combined with intellectual curiosity and the ability to ask the right questions.
• Experience with agile methodologies and experience working with agile teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and an open office plan.
• Experience with the Jira, Aha! and Full Story product management tools is a plus.
