What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farm Tender - Nekoosa, WI position at AGRI-Alliance?
Wysocki Family Farms is seeking a reliable outdoor enthusiast to join the farm team in Nekoosa! This is a full-time role and is a great opportunity for someone that has some knowledge of farming or excited to learn about farming. In this role, you will get trained in a variety of different farm operations areas. Duties include but not limited to scooping and hauling potatoes, assisting with storage needs by operating a conveyor system to load/unload potatoes, ensuring fertilizer gets delivered to the fields in a timely manner and basic preventative maintenance in the shop as directed. The Farm Tender also operates a variety of ag equipment to perform the operational support duties such as bulk trucks, pilers, small tractors, pay loaders, and forklifts. This is a benefit eligible role and includes medical, dental, vision, 401K match, paid time off, paid holidays and much more!
Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
- Pesticide License within 3-6 months of hire
- Basic math and reading skills to follow product instructions to determine the amount of product needed and used
- Ability to learn and use basic maintenance tracking software
- Basic knowledge of use of common hand tools
