The Opportunity:
The IT Manager is responsible for the effective operation of all IT systems across Agri-Service. This requires a strong leader, a service oriented professional with technical expertise, who will consistently deliver solutions that directly support company strategy and objectives.
- Oversees all IT operations: network, software, hardware, reporting, phone systems, data management, help desk, etc.
- Completes onsite network hardware, software and computer installation as needed to support business continuity
- Keeps the executive team up to date on IT operations, changes and needs
- Maintains personal workload, performance, knowledge and competence relevant to position
- Supervises IT team (Systems Administrator and IT Support Staff)
- Leads engagement
- Plans successful workloads
- Facilitates weekly collaborative team meetings
- Performs ongoing coaching and annual performance reviews
- Ensures team is meeting expectations and providing effective solutions on time
- Provides training and professional development to advance the overall capability of the IT team
- Stays abreast of technological changes that have an impact on the company
- Provides excellent service while working with internal and external customers- understands their needs, creates proactive solutions, and resolves issues
- Works with business departments to understand reporting and analytics needs.
- Helps lead quality, results-oriented technology training for internal and external customers
- Works with IT suppliers and business partners for optimal and cost-effective solutions
- Manages disaster recovery, business continuity (ex: consistent internet access/speeds), and systems performance
- Ensures security of data, network access and backup systems
- Creates and maintains clear standardized policies and procedures
- Maintains up-to-date, accurate records of all IT inventory and life cycle: software, hardware, licenses, etc.
- Leads with financial responsibility in all decisions; adheres to annual budget
- Works safely at all times; adheres to all applicable safety policies
- Works within and promotes company vision, mission, values and standards
- Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Networking, Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience
- Experience in IT and network management with progressive job responsibilities and knowledge
- 5 years hands-on experience with the following:
- Computer networks, network administration, network installation, firewalls (MPLS especially)
- Maintaining and troubleshooting internet, hardware, software, phone systems, cell phones, etc.
- Microsoft administration and licensing including O365
- Data administration and security
- Familiarity with agricultural businesses and equipment a plus
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English (speak, read, write, comprehend)
- Must be willing to complete role specific training as requested by management
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time along with walking, standing, climbing stairs, reaching pushing, pulling, leaning and twisting
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies
