Job Title: Agricultural Sales Specialist
Job Summary:
Responsible for promoting and selling agronomic products, such as seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and crop consulting services, to agricultural clients. They work closely with farmers and growers to understand their needs, offer tailored solutions, and provide expert advice on agronomic practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stay updated on agronomic products, including seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and new agricultural technologies.
- Offer agronomic advice and recommendations to clients based on their specific crops and conditions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers in the agricultural community.
- Understand the unique needs and goals of each customer and provide personalized solutions.
- Generate new business by reaching out to existing and potential clients.
- Address customer inquiries and complete all sales paperwork.
- Identify sales opportunities and develop sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Promote and sell agronomic products and services through presentations, demonstrations, and marketing efforts.
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotes, and contracts to customers.
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and industry developments to stay informed about the latest agronomic products and practices.
- Share market insights and feedback with the sales team and management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in agronomy, agriculture, or a related field is typically preferred.
- Previous experience in agricultural sales, agronomy, or a related field is beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of agronomic products, crop production practices, and agricultural technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership potential and customer-focused mindset.
- Sales and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a sales team.
- Valid driver's license, as travel to customer locations is often required.
- Requires travel within a sales territory.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
