What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resource Associate position at AGT Foods?

The Human Resources Associate is responsible for providing human resources support to assigned functional areas. This includes but is not limited to providing support in employee relations, recruitment, and onboarding, and responding to HR related emails and special projects.
Essential Job duties include but are not limited to
- Assist with recruitment and staffing, on-boarding, and exiting.
- Coordinate interview processes.
- Perform new hire orientations.
- Communicating benefit plan information
- Research discrepancies of payroll information and/or documentation (e.g., timesheets, leave, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures prior to processing.
- Maintains HR related spreadsheets
- Regularly files HR paperwork in respective personnel files and keeps personnel files up to date.
- Organize various social events, job fairs and other related facility events.
Qualifications:
- (2) year degree in Human Resources, Business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience performing a variety of high-level duties, including the development, or modification of major projects or procedures.
- PHR or SHRM-CP is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Results oriented. Must be self-motivated and a self-starter.
- Computer proficiency in windows based software applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to build working relationships with all business partners.
- Must have strong planning, organizational, problem solving skills
- Must possess strong training/facilitation skills
- Strong sense of timeliness and attention to detail.
- Dedicated work habits, takes initative, sets high standards
Work Conditions:
The working environment includes both office and plant floor settings. Exposure to industrial noise, forklift traffic, moving mechanical parts, and temperature extremes occurs in operating areas of the plant.
