The American Hospital Association (AHA) is a national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities. We are currently seeking an Associate Director, Media Relations for our Washington, DC office. This position is a hybrid role (three days in the office, two days working remote).
Starting base salary = $79,000 - $97,000 a year (commensurate with related experience).
The Associate Director, Media Relations is part of a collaborative media relations and communications team working with all departments of the AHA to enhance public awareness of the AHA, its position and members, and the hospital field more broadly. This position is responsible for working with AHA colleagues in developing and executing a variety of media relations and communications activities in the position’s given issue areas (or “beats”) in support of the AHA’s strategies and efforts in advocacy and representation.
