The Perioperative Assistant helps the perioperative team in many aspects of patient care. This includes, but not limited, to patient care assistance, maintenance of a clean environment, transportation of patients, supplies/equipment, specimens and blood products to, from, and within the surgical unit.
Qualified candidates will possess:
• High School diploma or GED required
• Previous experience in a hospital or nursing home preferred
• BLS card from the American Heart Association required
• Strong customer service skills
• Requires judgment that could affect patient outcomes
• Ability to prioritize
